Monday, December 31st, 2007

When someone is shopping for Texas Car Insurance there are many options, companies, and plans to choose from. While this may seem overwhelming at first, once you jump in head first you are well on your way to knowing the exact coverage you are purchasing and the credability your company has.

If you are new to Texas, or just received your drivers license, it is very important that you find a respectable Texas Car Insurance company fast. In Texas, if you are caught driving without proper car insurance identification you can be subject to hefty fines, jail time, and the possibility of your car being impounded.

While all of this can be easily avoided by purchasing Texas Car Insurance and keeping your auto insurance card in a safe place, some people are trying to beat the system. There are dishonest people in this world who will pay for Texas Car Insurance for one month, receive their insurance card in the mail, which is good for 6 months and not pay another dime. Some of the major cities in Texas are begining a new database system. When you are pulled over by a police officer for any reason, they can input all your information into this database and determine if you really do have Texas Car Insurance or not.

To be on the safe side, don’t take any chances. Be sure you are covered by Texas Car Insurance at all times. Do not be late in making your payments, as this will cause a lapse in your coverage and you may not be covered for a short time.

Personal Injury Protection

Sunday, December 30th, 2007

When you are searching for a new car insurance carrier be aware of any new laws that have passed or are getting ready to go in effect. There are some states that are passing a law requiring all drivers to carry Personal Injury Protection coverage on their insurance. This law is also requiring the insurance companies to cancel your coverage as of January 1, 2008. If you do not have PIP coverage your car insurance company will cancel your policy then send out letters electronically to your Department of Transportation where your driver’s license and your registration will then be suspended. This could also cause you a penalty of $500 and a warrant issued for your arrest for driving without a license or registration. Therefore, causing more fines and penalties.

There are few states acting on this law as of now, but the more that this issued is address, surely the more states will follow suit and pass a similiar law. Whenever you are searching for new Texas Car Insurance be sure you are legally following all rules and regulations so you are not subject to fines, jail time, and more trouble than you are looking for.

Winter Texas Car Insurance Advice

Saturday, December 29th, 2007

The winter months in Texas range widely. Some days you may need a heavy jacket, gloves, toboggan, and thick boots to stay warm. While other days you might get away with wearing a long sleeved shirt, a pair of jeans, and your tennis shoes. One morning you might wake up to an icy windshield and slick porch stairs, another morning you could find the sun shining and the birds singing, and still some mornings you might find heavy rains, high winds, and hail in the forecast. No matter what type of day you face each morning there are certain precautions you must take while you are in the comfort of your home and your car is safely parked in your driveway.

Many people don’t like to jump in their car on a freezing cold morning and drive off to work with their teeth chattering and their hands freezing from the cold temperature of the steering wheel. Sometimes gloves don’t even help your hands against the coldness of having to hold on to the wheel. There are lots of us you tend to start their cars 10-15 minutes before they leave to go off to work each morning, to allow time for their cars to heat up and thaw out.

Police are saying to use extreme caution in doing this. Car jackers and thieves are using this as an easy target to steal your vehicle. Many people you just start their cars and wait inside don’t often think how easy it would be to steal a car that is already running and probably not even locked. The thieves wouldn’t have to worry about the owners hearing the car start up because it is already started, and if your driveway has even a small incline the thief could simply put the transmission in neutral and roll your car down your driveway unseen in front of your house.

Some Texas Car Insurance companies are not paying for cars that are stolen when they are running and left unattended. Be careful of your surroundings during these winter months.

Texas Car Insurance Breakdown

Friday, December 28th, 2007

When you are searching for Texas Car Insurance there are several factors that your prospective company should offer you when you are needing coverage.

There are not many things you can’t do behind the wheel of a car anymore. Some people have turned their car into their office on wheels, sometimes their closet, storage room, or even a bedroom. Why shouldn’t you have Texas Car Insurance on all of this? Some people claim that car insurance is expensive, and that may be true, but if you did not have any type of coverage you are looking at even higher bills to come later.

If you are involved in an accident without some type of Texas Car Insurance you are reliable for the expenses, not only to your car and your medical bills, but quite possibly to the other car and the passengers for their repairs and medical costs if the accident is declared your fault.

There are many people who are having a hard time paying their bills now, and can afford their car insurance, while others are scraping by and are driving illegally in Texas. This is one reason why the monthly premiums for the ones that have Texas Car Insurance are so expensive. If everyone would purchase a Texas Car Insurance policy, our rates would decrease. When you are searching and shopping for a new car insurance company make sure your company offers a variety of coverages, such as; comprehensive, collision, bodily injury protection, under-insured motorist, uninsured motorist, and property damage. All of these different coverages combined are also known as full coverage. While full coverage Texas Car Insurance is probably the most expensive coverage you can purchase, you are also covered the best.

If you own and drive an older vehicle, full coverage may not be necessary. Talk with a local Texas Car Insurance agent about your options, and discuss what type of policy is right for you and your family.

Ways to be fuel efficient while traveling

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

With gas prices rising almost on a daily basis, we never know what the price is going to be tomorrow. It is important that we try and use a less amount of gas as we can to save our hard earned money. There ar several tricks you can learn to pull on your car to ensure you are getting the most milage out of your fuel.

  1. Check the air pressure in your tires. Make sure they are inflated to what they are supposed to be.
  2. Service your engine on a regular basis. This maintence will catch a problem before it becomes a disaster, also saving you money.
  3. Change your air filter before you make long trips. If you live down a rock or gravel road and kick up a bunch of dust when you are driving, you should change your air filter more frequently than recommended.
  4. Use your accelarator and brake pedals gently. If you are pedal to the medal drving and braking you are wasting money you just put into your fuel tank. Drive responsible.
  5. Shift the gears in your car at the appropriate RPM. Switching at a higher rate can cause you to lose fuel. Even if you drive an automatic transmisson car, you can still back off the gas pedal once you have gained some speed and the car will shift the gear.
  6. Make sure your wheels are properly aligned, this will not only help you keep your car on the road but it will save you money, too!
  7. When packing things on the roof of your vehicle, pack them in a way that reduces wind resistance, which will spend your gas quicker.

When you are getting ready for a long trip in the car, take precaution you are saving your money o gas, not spending it by not following these tips. Happy holidays and safe traveling.

High Texas Car Insurance

Sunday, December 23rd, 2007

What would you do if you received your monthly Texas Car Insurance bill, opened and found that your annual premium has sky rocketed to over $100,000? Most of us would have a major heart attack. This is just what happened to a family in Canada. As a matter of fact, this wasn’t even the bill for the whole family, it was for the 19 year old son of the family.

His mother says it is because he has a bad driving record. How bad can one’s record be after only having his license for 3 years? Well, in the past three years he has had his license suspended twice and has received at least 10 speeding tickets plus a number of accidents. Someone should take that kids car away from him!!! This poor family would have to pay nearly $8,000 a month for their son to be able to drive his car to school, his part time job, and to extra curricular activites.  This family should seriously consider purchasing this kid a bicycle.

What would you have done if this was your kid the first time they received a speeding ticket, or even had thier license suspended? Texas Car Insurance shouldn’t be something that is dreaded each month when it becomes time to pay your bill. By keeping you driving record clean, accident free, and no tickets, you should not have a problem in paying for your Texas Car Insurance.

Saturday, December 22nd, 2007

Hopefully starting in mid-2008 there will be a new Texas Car Insurance that will allow you to pay for your insurance depending on the amount you drive. This company says you can purchase anywhere from 1000 to 6000 miles at a time. This Texas Car Insurance company is also not using your credit history to rate your insurance policy. No matter how great or how poor your credit history is this company is not going to apply it to you coverage.

You can also benefit from possibly paying just 5 cents per mile. That’s about $300 for  every 6000 miles you drive. If you don’t drive very far back and forth to work each day, and you don’t drive much on your days off, you could benefit from this pay by the mile Texas Car Insurance.

This company is basing your premium solely on where you live, the type of coverage you need, and how old you are. Now you do not have to worry about safety features, discounts, accidents you have been involved in, and so forth. You pay one price for great Texas Car Insurance, that allows you to pay for what you drive.

There are many people that have extra vehicles sitting around waiting on someone to use them and those same people are wasting their money on liability Texas Car Insurance, just for their extra car to sit in their driveway. Then you could purchase the amount you need and go on about your business. Why hasn’t anyone thought of this before?
