Texas Car Insurance and Foreign Countries
Did you know that if you are a frequent traveler to a foreign country, lets say Mexico, and you don’t have proper auto insurance specifically for that country you are in a world of trouble? If you live to the border and travel into Mexico daily or weekly or more you need to purchase a Mexica auto insurance policy. The Mexican police are not going to give you any lead way if you are involved in any type of auto accident. If you can not provide a valid identification card you will more than likely be thrown in jail. Buying these daily drving passes at the border can get expensive. Take a few minutes to research driving coverage online. It will save you money.
One good way to know you are safe is to put the origonal in your glove compartment. What if your car was stolen while you are in Mexico? You will not know who you contact, place a copy in your wallet and keep it without at all times. Your Texas Car Insurance policy will not cover you in a foreign country and alot of times not in another state. You must be covered by the state you are residing in and in a country you are going to be driving in.
To be on the safe side, do your homework before something happens to you or your vehicle while you are away.
