Traveling with small children can be, at times, hectic. Long car rides are hard on everyone especially small kids and babies. They don’t understand why they are being restrained for long periods of time, and they also don’t understand what is going on. Keeping that in ming here are a few tips that will insure you a safe and happy trip for you and your children.

• Remember that the back seat is the safest place for your children to ride. If possible put the baby in a rear-facing position in the middle seat.
• Make sure the shoulder straps are tight enough that only allow two fingers under the straps at a given time. This will make sure the baby can’t wiggle free when you are concentrating on driving.
• Follow the instructions on how to install the saftey seat, whether the seat is for an infant or a toddler.
• Never ever leave your child unattended in a car.
• Keep your kids concentrated on something while they are riding in the backseat. Purchase a new light up toy, or music for them to listen to. This will make the ride pass by more quickly.
