Vehicle Fires and Texas Car Insurance
There are some counties now adopting to bill your Texas Car Insurance company if they respond to a vehicle accident, or fire to your home. If you are involved in an accident and call 911, 90% of the time a fire engine will respond to the call and arrive on scene. Fire Departments get their funding from a number of places, but most do not bill insurance companies if they respond to an accident. This money is normally collected from us, the taxpayers. In order for the taxpayers to stay somewhat happy, this is the reason for the fire departments are starting to bill the insurance companies, including the Texas Car Insurance Companies.
Take a guess at how much a pair of latex gloves cost per pair. You can usually purchase these gloves at a department store, pharmacy, or paint store. Most latex gloves come in a package of ten singles and can be purchased for a few dollars. Did you know the average fire department charges more than $8 per pair if they come to a crime scene and put a pair of gloves on? They don’t even necessarily have to touch you, either. You can probably go out yourself and buy 4 packages of ten gloves enclosed for $8. Some fire departments are even charging more than $30 for a bag of absorbent (kitty litter) to soak up spills, such as water. How much can you buy a bag of kitty litter for? Usually uner $7 per bag, depending on where you make your purchase.
Be aware that if you are involved in an accident and your local fire department is called to the scene, be prepared your Texas Car Insurance companies may have to foot the bill. It is a good thing we all own a Texas Car Insurance policy, right?
