Would you pass a Driving Test?
We all know that when you want to get your DL at 16 there are certain steps you have to take, such as Texas Driver’s Education, getting your driving permit, taking the written and the driving test, then you get your license. Most of us have had to do just that when we turned 16. What would happen if your state required you to take ANOTHER set of tests, lets say when you turned 30 or 40? Would you be able to pass. Texas Driving laws change yearly if not several times during the year, we hear about them on the news or on the radio, let the info go in one ear and out the other. Right? Well, what if on this test you take when you are 35, most of the questions are about drinking and driving and their punishments. How long would you have to sit in jail if you were caught drinking and driving? What would the fines be? Do you need to look both ways at an intersection if you know that the way to the left is a dead end?
There was a survey earlier in 2007 that found that one in six people would fail a driving test if they had to retake it TODAY!!! Can you imagine how many people that drive on your Texas streets daily, maybe even drive your child’s school bus, and would FAIL a driving test if they had to retake it today? Pretty scary!!!
